The 2018 Sustainable Nanotechnology Organization (SNO) conference included presentations on the applications, effects, implications, analytical methods, and lifecycle aspects of nanomaterials, while exploring how nanomaterials and nanotechnology can improve the sustainability of selected fields. NanoBCA 2018 Annual Conference, June 14, 2018, Washington D.C.

The 17th Annual Conference of the NanoBusiness Commercialization Association (NanoBCA) welcomed leading experts from private industry who were commercializing nanomaterials, representatives from government agencies, and public policy leaders. Environmental Regulation 2018: Hot Topics, Regulatory Developments, and Practical Guidance for Corporate Compliance, June 8, 2018, New York, New York and Via Webinar

Environmental Regulation 2018: Hot Topics, Regulatory Developments, and Practical Guidance for Corporate Compliance, hosted by the Practicing Law Institute (PLI), provided a comprehensive overview of recent developments in environmental regulation – and de-regulation – affecting compliance obligations for a range of businesses and organizations.  Among other topics, this program covered the impact of recent court decisions, new regulations, and enforcement initiatives on regulated entities, with an emphasis on providing practical suggestions for management of environmental risks and compliance obligations. Lynn L. Bergeson, President of The Acta Group (Acta®), presented "Chemical Regulation: Defining the Issues."

The ABA Section of Environment, Energy, and Resources’ 47th Annual Spring Conference explored the key topics and issues confronting environmental, energy, and resources lawyers today. Lynn L. Where Do We Stand on Alternative Testing? Looking back and peering forward, February 20-21, 2018, Los Angeles, California

The University of California Center for Environmental Implications of Nanotechnology (UC CEIN) presented “Where Do We Stand on Alternative Testing? Looking back and peering forward,” a two-day workshop bringing together opinion leaders to discuss the past decade of nano-government. Lynn L. The 2016 Sustanainable Nanotechnology Organization (SNO) conference brought together scientific experts from academia, industry, and government agencies from around the world to present and discuss current research findings. The SNO Conference emphasized not only the environmental aspects of sustainability but also the societal and economic sustainability issues.  Lynn L. Bergeson delivered Plenary III - "Governance of Nanotechnology" on Thursday, November 10, 2016.
